Carl Hultman and Jazz Friends is a 4 or 5 piece main stream jazz band featuring instrumentalists and vocalists. the bands arrangements mis together vocal and instrumental parts to create a unique sound reminisent of the groups Manhattan Transfer and/or Stan Kenton.

Carl Hultman is the guitar/vocalist. His guitar playing is in the style of Kenny Burrell.

Barb Schwartz does vocals and has a beautiful voice with a natural gift for phrasing.

Dave Callagan plays sax, one of Erie's best.

Dick Thomson plays bass, and is one of the areas most sought after bass player for good reason.

John Nicotra has come out of musical retirement and the band is fortunate to have John in the band.

The band is featured at many area festivals/events, clubs and private parties.
