BIO: Hailing from Erie, Pennsylvania, Paper St. is a four piece hard rock act formed in September of 2001. Since then the band has become one of the most popular acts on the regional music scene. The buzz started with their 2002 independent release, Here to Stay. With its rude distorted guitar riffs and sweet sounding acoustics the album soon became a must-have among fans from all over the area.

Their sophomore release "Music for the Desperate" released in 2003 was added to over 250 radio stations across the United States. "Music for the Desperate" was produced by Chris Mara in Nashville, Tennessee. Due to their expanding fan base, the band contnues to be promoted thru sponsorship with Labatts Blue of Labatts, USA. They have shared the stage with the region’s best bands and have also been fortunate enough to play on the same stage and frequent some of the same venues as Bruce Springsteen, Seether, SR-71, Evanescence, The Clarks, Dope, Mushroomhead, Queens of the Stone Age, Donnie Iris, Hinder and Faktion.

Paper St finished pre-production for a future full length album in the fall of 2004 with indy rock producer Chris Mara. In November 2005 and February 2006 Paper St worked with engineer Doug White of Watchmen Studios to produce their 3rd album, Whiskey & Push-Ups. Whiskey & Push-Ups was released in October 2006 and these songs can currently be heard on the internet via My Space, PureVolume, and at www.paperstlive.com. The new material shows that this band is not only ready to take things to the next level, but that they are already there.

Comments: I was amazed! Not only do they have a great stage presence, but they also have a great ability to work a crowd. Everyone that was there had a great time. This is a band that you need to see for yourself. Paper Street rocks! -Grass Hopper Punch Event Reviews

I was singing to Never Grow Old the first time I heard it. -Sally of Score Magazine

This band rocks hard featuring a lead vocalist with a very powerful voice-Straight ahead, no frills rockers. -Play Erie

On Desperate, they pull it off, creating a well-crafted disc that's heavy yet melodic, powerful yet also nuanced. This is one band that can do delicate and heavy equally well. Sometimes they even do it on the same song, as on The Numbness, a slow-building, crash-and-burn rocker. -Dave Richards, Erie Times

Musically Music For The Desperate makes a powerful statement -Rikk Matheson of Rikks Revues

The music got the people up front and kept them there. Playing a cool variety of mellow and rockin', these guys had a really good night. So did we! -Trevor Huster / Diecaster Studios

Paper Street successfully performs both songs of youthful angst and mature reflection -Jenny Palmer of Pulse

I absolutely love your CD, Music for the Desperate. It is one of the best CDs I've heard come into our station in a long time. -Tasha WIUV 91.3 FM RADIO
