background / biography
Who exactly is this crazy band called Money Shot anyway?

Well, to truly comprehend who the band is, one must first understand the term “musical ****”. You see, “musical ****” is defined as: myuzikel ‘hor n : a musician that uses his or her musical talent to entertain the masses by playing anything or everything that a majority of drunken crowds would want to hear.

Now that we’ve defined the term, let’s get to know just a little bit more about the four “musical whores” that make up the Erie area’s ultimate party band called Money Shot, shall we? On guitar and lead vocals, we have Tito Jaxoff...of Tito and Swan fame, or as he’s now known, “The Romantic ****”. When he’s not “musically whoring” it out to the masses, he enjoys long walks on the beach, candle lit dinners, and gettin’ it on if you know what I mean. Aside from all of that he has truly set himself apart as one of the Erie area’s most talented singers and frontmen. On lead guitar, keyboards, and back up vocals is Buster, over the last fifteen years he has established himself as one of Erie’s finest guitarists, playing professionally in several bands including Chunk. Playing drums and singing back up vocals is the other half of Tito and Swan, or as he’s now referred to, Swan Jeremy. He’s known as “The Recklessly Drunken ****”. He provides the rock solid backbeat that keeps all of the party people dancing, and afterwards he often times provides some added entertainment by performing humiliating drunken acts, such as random urination and sporadic bouts of impotence...perhaps it would’ve been best not to include that. Oh well, last but not least on bass and back up vocals, we have Anthony “Tuna Can” Cox, “The Sensitive ****”. Also a former member of Chunk, the “Tuna Can” has now been playing bass professionally for more than twenty years.

What kind of material can I expect to hear at a Money Shot show?

While attending a Money Shot show, you can expect to hear songs that range all the way from Bon Jovi, to Michael Jackson, to the Beatles, to current hit makers such as: Green Day, Fallout Boy and Eminem, all performed by seasoned musicians with the utmost in musical proficiency. You will also be comically entertained with off the wall covers such as: a re-vamped version of Brittany Spears’, “Hit Me Baby One More Time”, “Summer Nights” from the hit musical Grease with the band’s resident reckless drunk Swan singing the female part embarrassingly well with Tito, amongst many other zany selections that are sure to keep the crowd laughing while they dance, have a blast, and most importantly, drink! (Please see set list)

What sets Money Shot apart from all the other cover bands out there?

Money Shot is the ultimate party band. They haven’t allowed themselves to be pigeon holed into playing any one style of music all night long, and they have the unmatched versatility to pull this feat off with flying colors. The band’s philosophy is simple...Play music that makes people want to drink lots and lots of alcohol, get up and dance, forget about their problems for a little while, drink, party all night long, have tons of fun, and drink. And all the while, enjoy a professional rock n’ roll show with talented musicians who make it a point not to take themselves nearly as seriously as they take their performance. And in this way, the shows still maintain an edge that so many other cover bands lack. Because of this, no two shows are ever really the same, and it’s still a genuine rock ‘n roll show that anyone can enjoy. This edgy yet professional approach has earned them a sponsorship from Bud Light and has given them the right to claim being one of the most recognizable names in the Erie area as well as one of its most popular bands. It has also earned them the credibility to play headlining slots at such premier events including Celebrate Erie, multiple block parties, and Springfest at Mercyhurst. It has even given them the opportunity to share the stage with national acts such as Lit and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Altogether, they have played more city sponsored events than any other band in the Erie area due in large part to their ability to entertain any demographic imaginable.
