BIO FROM 2009: FULL BAND ADDED:

About Letters to the DeadEvery song is an original, but lyrically Aaron shows his intellectual story telling and sense of life experience that is always at the forefront. The songs are timeless in nature and with the addition of the amazing Rick Sadlier (as keyboardist/piano player) - Ralph Reightinger (as bass player) and Tom Kitchen (drummer) the songs have reached new heights. It is impossible to catagorize his music...As a band they have energy to a live show, and as experienced performers they can involve everyone in this brand of self expression... Aaron proficiently plays his guitar spilling chord after chord of unexpected twists and turns of hook laden melodies. Sadliers piano adds heft, and texture, to a funk influenced underlay by Reightinger... Kitchens drum lines are solid and proficient. And the chemistry and expertise between the unit is obvious. They have MASS appeal. As a singer/songwriter we have seen Aaron play in front of original alternative rock bands and win the crowd over (solo style or as a 2-piece with Sadlier) AND as a 4 piece as they are now...They have entertained tye dyed hippy types, rock clubs, even been received by a country crowd as well...young teens with backpacks and blackened hair, middle aged housewives, alternative shoegazers, shop working common folk, bikers, cross armed musicians...young or old... you name it - they all respect and welcome Letters to the Dead and the universal approach to music. When you listen to a live show, they have that sense of humility mixed with confidence that is needed to be liked. You hear a once broken heart, you hear years of experience, you feel like your part of something genre free and "fresh". You feel something happening that you can take with you. That is why we believe they can be so much more than you see now. They have “something for everyone” and that is a rarity nowadays. Sit back and listen to the music here or the live show and you to will be glad you opened your ears to something that can be all yours. AND JUST IN: we are 75% completed with the recording of our 1st FULL length ALBUM...12 songs are recorded...1000 MILES WIDE IS THE NEW/1st SINGLE----- LETTERS TO THE DEAD - will be an industry name in 2009. Guaranteed! IF YOU ARE INDUSTRY AND WOULD LIKE TO HIRE OR CONTACT AARON and/or Letters to the Dead (band) : use this site or email: mydeadjoy@yahoo.com or goto: www.aaronforsyth.com

BIO FROM 2007:

Greetings ... This is my experimental/acoustic project. I write songs, i sing them...i gave it a name, called my friends to tell them i havent gone crazy i just had to go public with my idea... so i came out of hiding, grabbed my guitars, pulled it together and i booked some studio time with my friend and producer Trevor Huster on off days... i want to have the CD out soon. I booked some shows and they went well, i booked more- i am refining the concept as i go... i got alot of local support for this...odd - i never expected it to be more than an audio therapy session... But i like it doing it, and here I am. Just me and my acoustic. I want to build a band around this for the next CD but i am doing things solo to develop my street creds ... but I never said i was a great singer, heck i never played guitar (i have been a bass player for years) ... BUT the songs on here are stripped down, and recorded virtually live, and (at this time) not meant to be overlayered. Sure i can envision a band playing with me someday, and breathing life into whats already there...BUT i am WAITING to "add" instrumentation and give the songs some "big-time" production for now... Hence the title of the release "The Truth In Simplicity"------------------------------------------------------------ WHY DID I DO THIS? Well I have had it all and even lost it all before... sometimes life breaks you down. I have found when in doubt - "simplify" and rebuild...Sometimes we need an outlet to express our losses, loves, trials and tribulations. I am fortunate. I am wealthy in spirit now..I have my art (see my personal site:www.myspace.com/pipeyard), i got my band (I play bass in "pipeyard" (check out www.myspace.com/pipeyardmusic.com)- they are my friends, and bread & butter...i love them dearly.) i have my small family who dont see this side of me often... I have been doing the band thing for 18 years...done everything, traveled, recorded, had alot of laughs and tears...I have built and re-built mini-empires. ----------------------------------------------- So in the course of self discovery i wrote this (and a ****-ton more) music... i have a side i needed to express, i have songs that needed to get out, i have a voice i want to develop ... sooo hopefully you will like what i have created, and i will do my best to be real, have integrity, and be 100% HONEST IN MY APPROACH (no matter how venerable it appears or sounds)... This is Letters to the Dead, and i thank you for your time....enjoy !!! OH AND JUST TO MENTION... I AM A BASS PLAYER ...nominate me if your feeling like it...OR Nominate me in the "best muscian guy with an acoustic guitar, tattoos and a good song idea" Catagory
