A little about Kayti

by key west express, posted 05 Mar 2008 02:40 PM

A little about Kayti Kayti Ostromecki is a young pop singer, who has a hip-hop style. She started her singing career at the age of nine in a production put on by her grade school in Wausau, Wisconsin. This was the first time her parents heard her sing a solo. After this experience they immediately enrolled her into private singing lessons at the Wausau Conservatory of Music. Kayti continued taking lessons through high-school, which proved to pay dividends as she went on to win many different local solo and ensemble contests.

Kaytis proudest musical accomplishment was winning the 2007 Erie Idol competition. This achievement proved invaluable as she was recruited to sing lead vocals for Erie’s favorite Tribute band, Key West Express.

While pursuing her degree in Communications at Mercyhurst College, Kayti was able to continue her passion as an entertainer by performing in various plays at the Erie Playhouse and Riverside Inn Dinner Theatre. Kayti is currently working on an original CD with Northstar Studios while she continues her successes as a theatrical performer and lead vocalist. With a powerful voice, wide range, and strong stage presence, Kayti certainly sets herself apart from ordinary female vocalists.

Come Party!

by key west express, posted 05 Mar 2008 02:29 PM

Come Party! If you are looking for a way to beat the winter blues, party the way the Down Islanders do! All you need is a cold Corona, a bit of lime and a whole lot of Key West Express, the PERFECT Jimmy Buffett tribute band. They're guaranteed to change your whole latitude. Embark on your next tropic island trip with the band that features a Gumbo of backgrounds and musical styles. It starts when folks ranging from 16 to 60 who love Beach Music in the Key of Sea, flock to the pages of their local newspaper to find out where Key West Express, the North Coast’s premier Jimmy Buffett tribute band is playing. It continues when these nighttime non-conformists discover KWE is in town. Donning their party attire, they start a minor ‘Mardi Gras’ migration to the site of the show where in no time at all they are part of the show, laughing, dancing, and lending vocal assistance to the Songs we all know By Heart. Where does it all end? That’s the best part, it doesn’t. It is always just beginning wherever Key West Express is set to appear.
