We've got a new album recorded, mixed, and mastered titled: In the Fire of My Youth, and it'll be coming out extremely soon. We all live in Meadville, but that's never seemed to slow any of our previous bands down. 

Signal Home was a band that was signed by Carbon Copy Media and distributed by Victory Records via SONY/RED worldwide, they toured a lot and unfortunately didn't get to play their hometown too often. They broke up, and members from that band, started up One If By Land. 

Fred Oakman our singer and lead guitarist has a solo endeavor that he's been pursuing for quite some time now. Perhaps you've seen him around town at some local singer/songwriter showcases.

This band is our baby, we've been writing, and doing music for more than half of our lives now and know exactly why we're still playing. 

We hope you enjoy the music we've been writing, and honestly, we'd love to start playing the Erie area a lot more.

Remember in August when I said, if all goes well, my new CD would come out in October?

All didn’t go well.

Mike (my producer) and I were slowly but steadily zeroing in on a final mix, when disaster struck in early October and Mike’s basement studio flooded. There were a couple of weeks of down time, but fortunately the tracks themselves weren’t harmed. The studio was eventually dried out and we resumed work two weeks ago. And so, it is with great pleasure that I inform you…

We have a final mix!

The song listing and artwork have been agreed upon, so creation of actual CD’s should commence momentarily.

The album itself is titled The Boy Who Always Got Picked Last, and will contain 11 songs:

Musically, I’ve tried to keep things more focused: shorter songs, and fewer of them. The songs themselves draw from a wider palette, embracing elements of folk, country, grunge, hip-hop… and of course good old fashioned rock and roll.
